Share it

Through the Plaza La Paja we can access a haven of peace in the same Madrid de los Austrias, the Garden of the Prince of Anglona. To enjoy with a book or spend a few moments with your partner in one of the most romantic places in Madrid.

Historical garden of the XVIIIth century although remodeled in the XXth century, of approximately 800 square meters with a neoclassical layout with Hispano-Arabic elements whose paths of bricks laid in sardinel (bricks placed vertically, vertically, attached on their faces) are delimited by boxwood. The composition of large and small trees gives the volume, the granite fountain, the large pergola of climbing roses and the iron arbor create the charm of this small garden.
Free of charge, it was opened to the public in 2002 after almost 80 years of neglect. It takes its name, like the adjacent palace, from one of its most distinguished owners, Pedro de Alcántara Téllez-Girón y Pimentel, Prince of Anglona, for whom it was a place of recreation.
